The landscape is strange, i feel like we're on the moon. Its all grey and brown, with what looks like piles of rocks erupting from the surface. There is a joke about Iceland...what do you do if you get lost in the woods? Stand up. Its appropriate as there are NO trees here, except a few planted in yards as landscaping.
The buildings are mostly low and very boxy. I guess University of Iceland doesn't offer an architecture degree.
